Basundhara - Jbs Micado

House name: Jbs Micado
Project work: Modular Kitchen & Interior Design.
Location: Basundhara

Project Overview

Modular kitchen
This modular kitchen maximized corner efficiency in a medium-sized urban apartment. It featured a seamless workflow triangle—sink, stove, and fridge—for daily use, with eco-friendly bamboo accents nodding to sustainable trends. Total cost was around BDT 8-10 lakh, completed in 6 weeks.

The white cabinets with wooden textures created an airy feel, paired with a marble countertop and tiled backsplash for easy maintenance in humid Dhaka weather.

Key Design Features

  • Storage Solutions: Tall pantry units with pull-out drawers for spices and utensils; overhead glass-front cabinets for crockery display.
  • Tech Integration: Built-in chimney, induction hob, motion-sensor lights, and a microwave niche to save counter space.
  • Ergonomics: 60cm worktop height for comfort, with soft-close shutters and corner carousels to avoid dead space.

Materials Used

High-pressure laminate (HPL) in matte white and beige for durability against moisture, topped with quartz for heat resistance. We chose these over plywood for quick assembly and affordability in Bangladesh's market.
